    ON TODAY'S SLATE: MOVE TO WASHINGTON POST

    Eight years old, now being sold.

    Started by Microsoft at the dawn of the consumerization of the net, the online magazine SLATE is being bought by the Washington Post.

    Will things change? Probably not. Slate will retain editorial independence and unique identity.
